Okay, here is the problem, my new HP uses all the volumes on a drive, from the factory, System, HP Tools, HP Recovery and C Dr. for OS and programs. I need 3 volumes for what I do. Many programs will not work with dynamic disks, so I want to stay with basic. All the backup programs I try will backup C and the Volumes containing system and Hp tools, thus when I restore the backup it is the same as before. So I have to reload Win 7 from a retail disk to get around this. I will remove the original drive, load retail windows on replacement drive. I will have the same program for OS as before but with only one volume that I can divide later. My Question is, how do I transfer all my programs with thier settings from the original drive to the new so that I don't have to reload everything from scratch? Thanks in advance for any help
