Hey guys I just got my brothers old Toshiba Satellite C655 since he got a new computer and its filled with viruses and barely works. I was just wondering if it would be possible to factory reset my computer without the windows installation disc since my brother lost it. Any help would be appreciated and thank you.

According to the manual:

To access the Recovery Wizard on your internal
storage drive: Press and hold the 0 (zero) key while
powering on the computer. Read the Warning screen that
displays and then click Yes to continue.

This should restore the computer to it's factory new state.

Thank you very much for the help. How long exactly will the factory reset take to complete?

Depending on the format it will probably take about a hour. At least a fresh install takes about that much time.

Please backup before doing this if possible as it will most likely wipe out everything on the hard drive .
