For some reason shredder.exe from egistech keeps trying to autoinstall upon boot. I tried disabling everything to do with egistech in msconfig and rebooting so I could get rid of the shredder program but that did not work. For some reason there are three dll's from shredder that keep autoloading into explorer.exe upon boot: frameutility.dll, libframe.dll and shreddercontextmenu.dll. Obviously, if I try to kill the dll's from process explorer, I first have to kill explorer.exe, at which point I can no longer navigate to the shredder program folder and delete the dlls. I got a bit frustrated and just trashed every component of shredder except the three dlls I can't seem to get rid of so that at least the program can't be installed and run. Now I'm left with three dlls I can't seem to find a way to get rid of. Perhaps it's just a minor aggravation because I'm assuming that even though every time I boot I get a window saying shredder is trying to install it can no longer actually do so with all the other files trashed. But still, everytime I boot I have to click a "cancel" button on a pop-up saying shredder is trying to install. Anyway, totally lost here. Is there any way to get rid of these three dll files?

Hi,

How about reinstalling the program again to fix the pop-up and then uninstall the program from the Control Panel?

Try Process Explorer:

http://live.sysinter...com/procexp.exe
Save it to your desktop then run it (Vista or Win7 - right click and Run As Administrator).

It will let you kill most anything.

You could also try the free ShellExView.

http://www.nirsoft.n...s/shexview.html

Use this download:
http://www.nirsoft.n...xview_setup.exe

Once you get it installed, run it and look in the third or fourth column from the RIGHT. It should say MICROSOFT. Click once or twice on MICROSOFT so that items with NO are at the top.
Select all of the NO items and then click on the red led looking icon in the upper left. This should disable all of the non-microsoft additions to Explorer. Reboot

Another alternative is the free Revo uninstaller http://www.revounins...e_download.html
