I am running xp professional and my problem is:
I installed the dongle software from the cd fine into a folder on the c drive. The next instructions are to plug in the USB dongle and when the add new hardware wizard comes up to click install from a specific location. However, when I plug in the dongle Windows immediately installs its own drivers using plug and play and these drivers don't seem to work.
Is there a way of disabling plug and play (I've tried disabling it from "services.msc"- doesn't work) or any other method of getting my drivers installed and not windows's choice?
Thanks!
