If the drive works ok then not a problem as most if not all optical drives nowadays do not have specific drivers for them.

Was the optical drive originally in an OEM branded HP computer.

Hi Phillpower2,
Unless I have problems in the future I'm going to leave it as is. The drive was in an HP branded computer but I bought it in a box long after I got the computer.
