Hi,

Windows 7 desktop/taskbar icons are missing on my laptop. A message "c:\Windows\system32\config\systemprofile\Desktop is not accessibe. Access is denied. The property box of the folder specified in the message says 0 file in it. I tried to replace explorer.exe without success. I suspect this is a virus case. I've been having troubles with e-mail download for more than a week before losing icons. Please help

Go to the Virus, Spyware, Malware Removal forum, read the first post and follow instructions.

Come back here once you get a clean bill of health if you still have problems.

Ztruker,

I'm having another e-mail on the G-mail download problem under the virus category with help from one member of this forum currently. The help is very helpful with very specific instructions on each very step. However ths icon problem makes my execution way more harder. Seems to me it would be a little easier if I fix thes icon problem first.
