Hello Machiavelli

The standard Deneb CPU is ok with your MB as it only requires 95W, the black edition however requires 125W which your MB cannot handle as the maximum TDP is 95W, HP could be a bit more informative with upgrade information but for what it is worth;
Your MB http://h10025.www1.h...=c01925534#N117
Example stock Deneb http://www.newegg.co...N82E16819103824
Black edition http://www.newegg.co...VirtualParent=1

Compatible 95W CPU specs to check out http://www.cpu-world... (HDZ965FBGMBOX).html

Do you know another good CPU? It would be nice if a CPU more than 3 GHZ would exist. Thanks!

Bye,

Hi Machiavelli ( I was aware of the name change :thumbsup: )

Sorry for the delay but I have been snowed under with work the past couple of days.

I will be back online after work at about 1800hrs UK time and will take a look at your options then.

NB: As the MB is an OEM you may need to upgrade the BIOS if you are indeed able to get a CPU above 3Ghz.

OK of course no problem. If I need a BIOS update, is there anywhere a good tutorial for that?

BIOS updates can go wrong so a little sacrifice is often worthwhile http://www.amazon.co...ii x4 95w deneb

So,

I don't want to make any BIO's update. You know I don't know so much about hardware. Which CPU would be comaptible with the MB with no BIOS Update?

Which processors are good for that? For PHENOM II x4 945 I have to make a BIOS Update, or not?

Good choice :thumbsup:

Hard to come by nowadays + when you can get one they tend to be expensive http://www.cpu-world... II X4 850.html and http://www.ebay.co.u...=item485770f4d8

NB: Check out the other 95W Phenom options at the link if you have not already purchased.
