My wireless router stopped connecting with my cable modem. All the lights on the router are on, like it still functions but it is not connecting to my cable service. All my gadgets senses it and has good signal but no internet connectivity. It is not the cable connection because I have tested each cable. It'snot the cable service because I connected it directly to the laptop and there is internet service.

I am running Windows XP.
My Router is a Linksys Wireless-N Broadband router
Model:WRT160N V3

Please help, as this seemed to happen first to my laptop, not being able to connect, then a few days later, my iphone and ipad, etc are unble to connect. Again, the wifi signal is there but there isn't any connectivety.

Thanks!!!

Turn both the modem and the router off.

Turn the modem back on and wait a minute or two

This could be a faulty router.

How old are the modem and router?

Would it be possible to obtain a modem/router combo from your ISP?
