When computer is turned on and I log in and attempt to open Firefox, it won't open the first 2 times I double-click the icon. Then when it does open
it closes after about 3 seconds. Then I try to open it again and it closes. Finally the 3rd time it stays open and works normally. I had the same problem
on my other computer, a windows vista. I've ran Norton for malware but it doesn't find anything. IE would do the same thing on the vista machine.

No. But the networking part didn't work. I think because I have a program for my wireless connection. And safe mode didn't load that program.

What about trying a change to let Windows manage your wireless?
