Hello, please help
My Toshiba L675 was running slow and then flashed and now won't boot Windows 7. Goes through start up with logo but skips to white blank page. I used F8 key to access the recovery tools but none have worked. It's a work computer with a lot. Of files that have not been backed up. I am open to any suggestions. I see that a lot of users have been hit with this problem. Thanks for your help.

It seems to be okay now. Kept trying different restore points. I still need to get the virus or malware off here.

Are you able to get to the desktop or safe mode ?

If so

Download OTL to your Desktop
Secondary link
  • Double click on the icon to run it. Make sure all other windows are closed and to let it run uninterrupted.

  • Select All Users
  • Under the Custom Scan box paste this in

    netsvcs
    BASESERVICES
    %SYSTEMDRIVE%\*.exe
    /md5start
    services.*
    explorer.exe
    winlogon.exe
    Userinit.exe
    svchost.exe
    /md5stop
    dir "%systemdrive%\*" /S /A:L /C
    CREATERESTOREPOINT

  • Click the Run Scan button. Do not change any settings unless otherwise told to do so. The scan wont take long.
  • When the scan completes, it will open two notepad windows. OTL.Txt and Extras.Txt. These are saved in the same location as OTL.
  • Post both logs
