Hi all,

I have an acer aspire 5740g that is running windows 7. A month ago it crashed while i was on tumblr. I couldn't even get into the task manager and had to hold down the power button to reboot. I then did a chkdsk scan and it found something wrong with the boot drive but it fixed it and things were fine for a month. Today it crashed again twice. The second time i think the sound went out as well but i cant be sure because it might have just been the website i was on. Anyway, i couldnt get into task manager again or even put the laptop into sleep. The event viewer shows nothing although i could be looking in the wrong section. Im running chkdsk at the moment (im on the phone).

Someone please help. Is the motherboard failing or the hard drive? Or something else?
