Hi, I'm new to this website. Sorry if this is in the wrong category

I'm build my second gaming computer, I know how to build it but I;m not sure if these parts are compatible.

NOTE: The attached file has links to all the parts on amazon. I would also greatly apreciate it if you could tell me where I could get the parts for cheaper. And I'm also not going to spend anymore that £672 on this computer (that is the current price of all these parts).

Parts:

Case: NZXT Source 210 USB 3.0 Mid Tower Chassis with 1x 120/140mm Fan - Elite Black

CPU: AMD FX6300 Black Edition 6 Core (3.5/4.1GHz, 8MB Level 3 Cache, 6MB Level 2 Cache, Socket AM3+, 95W

Motherboard: GIGABYTE GA-970A-DS3 970A-DS3 Motherboard Socket AM3 AMD 970 SB950 DDR3 SATA RAID ATX Gigabit Ethernet LAN (rev. 1.0)

Memory: Patriot 8GB DDR3 Viper 3 Mamba Dual Channel 2 x 4GB 1866MHz 1.5v XMP 1.3 Ready Memory Kit - Black

Graphics Card: Asus AMD Radeon HD 7850 DirectCU II Graphics Card (2GB GDDR5, PCI Express 3.0)

Hard Drive: Seagate 750GB Momentus XT Serial 2.5 inch 7200 RPM 32MB 6GB/S SATA Solid State Hybrid Hard Drive

Optical Drive: (Don't know any thing about these) need help choosing one

Power Supply: Antec High Current Gamer 620W Power Supply

I dont know if this all the info you need if you need anymore info just ask!

Also I would like to know what games this can play and at what settings.

Any advice on further upgrades or changes you might recommend? and which optical drive I should pick ( Preferable a cheap one)

Thank You.

Thanks.

You are in the right place, but the parts and price you listed in your post do not match the list and price in your link to Amazon.
Please give which parts you wish to use and we will then have another look.

Q. Do you have an OS? What ver. Full Retail, OEM, Downloaded from Microsoft, burned Disc?

Thanks.

Oh and I found a disk drive but I think It's too expensive and it might be a bit of a rip off.

Thanks

Gday.
Unfortunately, your OS licence is a OEM one and once installed on a computer and activated, is not transferable to another system. Please read the section "Software Licence Terms" page 11 at the below link.

Your parts are all compatible, slightly cheaper listing on this site, includes a new OS.

Consider using low profile RAM, this one will give the same performance, also cheaper.

If you are not intending to burn Blu-Ray discs a basic DVD Burner is all you will require,(included in list)
You case does not have a 2.5 HDD bay so you will need a 3.5 to 2.5 adaptor like this,

Thanks for all the help but I have a few more questins if thats ok.

1. Is this a good gaming rig? I'm wondering what the average frame rate games will have with this.

2. Is there anything else I should I know before I buy the parts and Is there anything I could change for a better gaming experiance.

Thank You

Gday.
Questions, not a problem, ask as many as you want.

Yes, good for the money spent. FPS depends on the settings you use and reviews by good pro sites help with the choice.
> http://uk.hardware.i...--7870-round-up Look for otter reviews before making a brand selection.

Could you use any parts from your existing computer?
The best performance alteration to the build would be to use a SSD for the OS Boot drive and a mechanical HDD for DATA storage, but this would up the price.

Thanks for the update.
A most useful item I highly recommend adding to the build is a mini internal system speaker like this, > http://www.amazon.co...r/dp/B002W4M0DW
A local store is cheaper without the shipping or try to find a used one.
Remember to take anti static measures even when handling parts.
Good luck.
