Hello,
I bought a conexant adsl router.
i have my public ip address
and anytime i hit it,
it takes me to the control panel of the
router that is 10.0.0.2

i want to run a webserver
how do i configure it
so that anytime i run my public ip,
it rather goes to the webserver??

Don't you have to forward a port or application? Because with a router you have your WAN IP and you LAN IP.

In your router you should have a setting that enables you to remotely access it. Find that setting and disable it. Now set up a virtual server/port forward, or whatever your router calls it and open Port 80 TCP to the Local IP of the computer that is acting as the web server. Make sure any software firewalls on the server are also accepting TCP port 80.
