I have an HP Pavilion Media Center m 8000 PC. Purchased in 2009

It has recently gone into an endless boot, where it takes me to the Windows Error Recovery, with a choice of Launch Startup Repair (recommended) or Normal Startup. The Launch Startup Repair puts out a message that it cannot repair the PC. Have also tried to go back to setpoints for startup a few months ago, and it has not made a differene. Safe mode also does not work.

The Error Message is C:\windows\system332\winsrv.dll

I have (3) Geek Squad CD Recovery Disks, and I am using the 1st one to re-boot off the Disk and it gives me a message,
"This PC is not supported by the System Recovery Disks. You will not be able to continue to recover this system with these disks."

These CD Recovery Disks where made by Best Buy, when I purchased this PC.

Do you have any suggestions how I can get into the Windows Vista to fix this problem? Or any other way I can move forward?

Thanks.

:welcome: Aurich

If you have the 25 digit product key for the Vista installation you can download an ISO and use that, see Here

Let us know how it goes or if you have any questions.
