I noticed while I was looking at my profile that there is a reputation bar and that mine is 6.

Is this like a point system? How do you get more points if so?

If you look in my reply at the bottom right hand corner you will see a Green circle with a + in it and next to it is a box with a zero in it.

If a person had offered you some good advice you may wish to reward them by increasing their reputation by clicking on the Green circle.
