Hi.

Sory for my absence for 2 weeks. I realy had to take my mind to rest by not working overtime.


MS security updates initially had no chance to download becouse of the allarm + auto-shut-down. Last week, trying to run that SFC they did download but somehow failed to install though there was no auto-shutdown at that time. First 2 tries of the SFC passed within a fraction of a second, can't be right. In between i tried another MS-update which didn't succeed becouse of auto-shutdown. However after 2^nd try of SFC the MS Security-updates did install. 3^rd try of SFC succeeded partialy but then the scan did not recognize the Windows-CD's i have : 1 original Windows XP DVD (no Service Packs) and 1 burned only a few month's ago with the latest updates, burned by the new computershop nextdoor. Gees, i have the money but i'm not allowed to spend it at the computershops (one nextdoor) offering well-rounded (fineprint explains the ones using fineprint are not the ones to use) repair-services.

It pains me to write it but this thread can be closed. Despite all the work i've done under guidance of Gringo_pr and Rshaffer61, our payed coördinator – the boss – has removed the computer and replaced it with one from which even he admits it has to be malware-ridden for sure. This while he normally "doesn't believe" in malware, anti-malware measures & malware-removal. Thinking you guys at GeeksToGo and all other fora are professionals earning money with scare-tactics. He doesn't know about old-time Free Data for Everyone World Wide Web convictions still being alive in present day Internet. And he's a Budhist working in the volonteer-bussiness amidst the seekers for help & guidance............


In short, this "new" comp was formerly placed at a sister-project and our employee there deliberately downloaded risky files and software directly into Owner and even into Hidden Admin-account.
I didn't copy the back-up files yet anyway. Maybe the boss will learn when he remains locked out from that "new" computer as long as i want him to be locked out.



Thank you Gringo_pr and rshaffer61 for your efforts, we'll have to start anew. I hope i'll have time this week to open a new thread but i don't think so. At least Internet and phone in my flatblock are working again, but that's another story at the end of our providers and the network-manager (who's also 1 of involved providers).
