Ok so I was working on my computer. The computer was working fine then work got a bit laggy, all of a sudden my monitor freezes up and I have to hard shut down by holding the power. When I tried to turn it back on the computer turned on ( fans and everything on) but the monitor wouldn't respond. Please help :)

Hello :welcome:

This can occur due to various reasons. Try these & post back.

1. Check the Monitor cables.
1. Check if the RAM is properly seated.
2. Try another stick of RAM.
3. Check the Video Card
4. Clear the CMOS
6. Check the processor heat sink
7. Check the motherboard and processor

I was about to run those tests and I try turning it on and it works. My computer has done this before and I don't know why. Maybe I am over using the ram chips or graphics card?

EDIT: it turned on and I got to desktop but its frozen completely. Keyboard and mouse don't do anything.
