I had a bad registry problem. I was unable to boot due to it. I also was not able to have windows auto fix the problem. I also, tried to use the repair system through the installation disk and it didn't give me the option for the windows installation, so I felt like I had no other option.
This is what I did. I have several drives. One of my drives has the original installation that has the bad registry installed on it. The second drive now has the new windows installation installed on it. What I want to know, is there any way I can copy the programs, user folder and everything, but the windows folder from the old drive to the new drive.
I would like to do not have to go through the hassle of reinstalling all the software and games I had.
If not, then does anyone know any solutions to fixing windows if it won't auto repair? Does anyone know of any boot registry scan software that is free, and will do the repair job?
Or run me through some steps to repair windows so I can see if I didn't cover them yet?
Thanks a bunch!
