Hey everyone, recently I found a lot of spyware etc on my comp. I downloaded many of the free anti spyware programs that are linked to this site and started to use them. What started as my background/wallpaper disappearing soon turned into no sound from my soundcard and then now a lovely blue screen.

I cannot boot up my computer. I have tried booting in the various safe modes. Instead of a normal boot all I get is a blue screen. No error messeges, no nothing. I am running Win2000pro if anyone has any other suggestions on how to fix this problem, I would greatly appreciate it.

thanks in advance.

Use the Windows 2000 emergency repair process

1. Start the computer by using the Windows 2000 compact disc (CD-ROM).
2. At the Welcome to Setup menu, press R.
3. Press R to select the emergency repair process.
4. Press M to select Manual Repair.
5. Press ENTER to perform the selected tasks.
6. Follow the remaining instructions to repair the Windows 2000 installation.

Use this with another PC and the Windows 2000 CD
