Operating System: Windows Vista
Antivirus: Norton 360 (Licensed)
RAM: 4GB

Started encountering a BSOD today for first time in this laptop's usage history. This occurs everytime I open a specific folder in C:. This folder contains about 500 images.

Using Windows Debugger I figured the problem to be this driver - dxgkrnl.sys.
But I am not sure of how to figure out if its hardware problem or driver/software?

Generally, BSOD is coming when trying to open images from specific folder with over 500 images.

Any help would be appreciated.

Please Download BlueScreenView:
If you don't know which version should work for you, please go to menu Start -> right click on My Computer -> select Properties and in the opened window should be the information is it 32-bit or 64-bit.

Unzip the downloaded file and run BlueScreenView.exe
When scanning is done, go Edit -> Select All.
Go File, Save Selected Items, and save the report as BSOD.txt.
Open BSOD.txt in Notepad, copy all content, and paste it into your next reply.Get autoruns by Sysinternals from here

Download, Save and Run the program by right clicking and Run As Admin.
Wait until it completes scanning. A notice Ready should appear in the left lower corner.
Go to File -> Save -> Filetype *.txt and name it.

Attach the file to your reply.

Hello
Yes, I recently updated video drivers. Downloaded the latest from Lenovo website for my Ideapad Y430 and installed them. If I remember correctly, then yes, BSODs started coming after it.
Now what to do please?

Let's try to downgrade them.

Is this Windows Vista 32- or 64-bit?

Also what video card is in it? Intel or Nvidia?

Also tell me what is the version of the driver currently installed.

Hello
Thanks for support so far. :)

Windows Vista 32 Bit
Display Adapter - Intel (Mobile Intel® 4 Series Express Chipset Family)
Driver Provider: Intel Corporation
Driver Version: 7.15.10.1545

And Device manager does not give me any option to Rollback driver. Rollback is greyed out.

Please suggest.
