Gday.
Sorry for the delay, Had a severe storm, lightening strike took out power for ten hour.

I think enough time has passed. Please do a restart and post result. Also,

rshaffer61 asked,

If it fails and a retry results in the same then we may be forced to do a full format and reinstall. Is the XP a genuine disk or a downloaded version?

OK it booted up also the system config utility came up (awhile back one of you two had me disable some services I believe or something like that).
What would you like me to try now? I do know IE doesn't boot up for everypage it says "The Requested lookup key was not found in any active activation context." Also the windows clock synchronization errors probably service disable or something.

While having nothing open it looks like the computer froze but mouse still works and keyboard still responds. But nothing clicks right click doesn't bring a menu clicking on start does nothing and alt ctrl del does bring up process list. Also I don't see any hard drive activity so far after the initial boot and such.

Sounds like a driver or some service is restarted that may not be Microsoft.

The repair is meant to repair or replace damaged, missing or failed system files but keep all the existing programs and data you have. Usually the last resort I use before suggesting a full format and fresh install.

We can try Msconfig first.
Start in Safe Mode.
> start, > Run, > type msconfig, and then click OK.
> On the General tab, click Normal Startup, > Click apply,

Any error messages on reboot.?

Booted back up same error for synchronization and same error for IE when loading any webpage. Other browsers currently still work. Also AVG is given me a error for license error looks like it somehow lost the free version or something.

Microsoft Feeds Synchronization is what encounters a problem and needs to be close msg.
