I am having a problem with my XP Home. Everything is very slow. I have checked the task manager and nothing seems be eating up the cpu. My upload and download speeds for my dsl are .32 and 3.01

I have run ccleaner and advanced system care and these do not seem to help.

I remember a long time ago I ran HiJack this and sent the results. I stil have it and the list on the scan is pretty long.

Please help and let me know what I need to do.

Thanks

Rick

Go to the Virus, Spyware, Malware Removal forum, read the first post and follow instructions.

Come back here once you get a clean bill of health if you still have problems.

I ran OTL and saved the log. Where should I post a reply? Here or in the other forum?

Thanks for you help.

As they said, you will follow this little saying...

Due to the belief that malicious software (malware) may be at fault for your current issue(s), I need you to make a new thread in the appropriate section, to do so you need to first follow the procedures for creating an appropriate post/thread, which can be found HERE. Once you're ready to make the new thread/post, please post it in the appropriate section which can be found HERE. After you post, a malware removal expert will guide you through the process of removing any malicious software off your PC. Once they establish that your machine appears clean, if you are still having the issues come back to this thread and I or another techie will be more than happy to assist you further - However until you are deemed clean by an expert, we will not be able to assist you further.
