I can't download anything. I tried removing my virus software - free Avast, so now I have none. So the OTL download also failed.It either tells me the virus scan failed or that it found a virus. Registry?

Can you tell me what windows do you have (XP, 7, 8) and is it 32bit or 64bit version. You can find this info if you right click on My Computer and select Properties.

- Malware removal is NOT instantaneous, most infections require several courses of action to completely eradicate.
- Absence of symptoms does not always mean the computer is clean
- Kindly follow my instructions in the order posted. Order is crucial in cleaning process.
