I just purchased a computer running Windows 7. I installed all my old programs on the new computer including Microsoft Office Home & Student 2007. I can copy & paste
OK from one WORD document to another WORD document, or for example here on this form. Those are OK/work fine. However, if I try to copy & paste from another source,e.g. eBay or from this form to WORD, what gets pasted in WORD is the last thing I copied in WORD, not what I just copied from the external to WORD source??

Is this only a problem with Word or do you have the same problem pasting into Notepad or Wordpad?

PROBLEM SOLVED?? The new computer came with a mouse with a universal cable. I didn't use it. Instead I used my "cordless" mouse, with which I experienced this problem. I changed to the mouse with a universal cable and the problem went away. I then retried my "cordless" mouse and it was OK too!
