I have an asus labtop that I recently formatted. However when it starts up it goes straight to the desktop then starts the Asus configuration and before it finishes it closes all the applications and restarts my labtop and the whole process starts all over again. I've tried closing the applications before it restarts, I cant seem to get it to run in safe mode and ive tried formatting again, but the problem still persists.

Does it work immediately after doing a install with format?

Where did you get the install disc? Is it a download or a purchased DVD?
