I recently upgraded to Windows 7 Pro from years of using Windows XP. I found my beloved image editing program, Microsoft Picture It, is not compatible with windows 7 pro unless I run the program in XP mode. The program opens but does not function correctly. So I went to the Microsoft website & read about compatibility mode. The website instructed to download & run Hardware-Assisted Virtualization Detection Tool. After I did this I got a pop up stating "Hardware-assisted virtualization is not enabled". How do I enable it?
Better yet, is there an easier way to run my Microsoft Picture It in Windows 7 Pro? Please & Thank you!

I've gotten a handful or two of applications to work in Windows 7 or 8 that had issues like yours. The method I used, though not a guarantee, is to go into the installation path and fine all the 'Application' file types (AKA files that end in .EXE for their file extensions) and 'Right Click' on each one - Setting them up for XP SP3 mode in compatibility. This is because many application files make up the software, rarely is it only one file.

If this does not work out, we can look into the XP machine visualization but it takes more resources so I try to avoid it.
