Hi,

After having a problem with my computor, which was cured by Geekstogo, I thought it time to change from Windows Explorer.

I'm using XP with all updates.

I installed Google Chrome which was not too bad.

Uninstalled Chrome and installed Firefox.

Now everything has gone pear shaped.

Firsly when I went to Google Aus. all I got was There is a problem with this website's security certificate.

Same with Google UK in a new tab.

Google translate works ok but will not allow me to use the Search button.

When I tried to sign in to Ebay all I got was There is a problem with this website's security certificate.

In the ALL programs menu it is now black text highlighted a dull yellow instead of its normal black text on white.

I ran Malwareytes and it found nothing.

So I came here.

Hi,

Update to above.

I noticed that the clock in the taskbar was not at the right time or date so I reset it.

Now the only issue is:

In the ALL programs menu it is now black text highlighted a dull yellow instead of its normal black text on white.

But if it is not important I can live with it.

So can resetting the time cure the security problem?

Hi Rickles,

So can resetting the time cure the security problem?

Time & Date settings are one of the first items to check for security certificate issues.

Hi zep516,

Unfortunatley I would never be able to make a living fixing computors.

I'm an ex-photographer and still like using actual film.

But all is well now, so if this one needs to be closed, feel free to do so.

Just glad that the Geekstogo is always there when I need them.
