Tuneup utilities 2014 froze windows 8

I checked tuneup to run a disk check next time i restarted and now its froze at 28% and i cant skip it at all. I have tried to do f11 and it just freezes as well. I tried pushing the spacebar too.What can i do? Thanks.

Try removing the battery or unpluging and wate for 5 mins and try to reboot

open the windows task manager to close it.

Did you try a hard reset?

It's best that you stay away from softwares like TuneUp Utilities or any such registry cleaners. From all the years I have been in different forums I can tell you that they always cause more problems than they can fix. Our colleague miekiemoes has written a good writeup about this.
