I think i'm probably pretty good. If I'm keeping malware bites installed, do I need to run it every day? It currently says I'm not protected because my trial ended.

As for MBAM, I usually update and run it about once a week. You can still use it even though the trial has ended. Please don't hesitate to come back if you have any further problems.
