I was using Chrome. I usually use the address bar to search, and it happens on seemingly random queries. It isn't every time, I just tried it from the google homepage and from the address bar and it didn't happen. But once it happens it keeps happening during that session, if that makes sense.

Hello kittybritches

We need to reset Chrome back to defaults to completely clear out what is going on.

We can keep the bookmarks by exporting them - Export Bookmarks

Then I need you to go Google Sync and sign into your account

scroll down untill you see the "Stop and Clear" button and click on button

At the prompt click on "Ok"

Now we need to uninstall chrome

I want you to uninstall Chrome and if asked about user data or settings then remove this also

restart the computer and reinstall chrome, You can download The latest version from here - Google Chrome

After you have Chrome reinstalled please check things out and let me know how it is doing.

Ok, reinstalled, we'll see how it goes! My iphone is giving me an alert telling me it can't check my gmail account, I'm assuming this is a byproduct of the google redirect issue. I will check to see if it keeps happening.

My iPhone browser (Atomic) is supposed to start on a google page, and it is starting at a google. It also tells me that it can't fetch my gmail account because it can't verify the google server. On the computer it is hard to tell if it is going to redirect again or not, I am not sure if it has since the last thing we did. I know that is a lot of help...

I think I am doing something wrong because it comes up and says "non authoritative answer" then disappears and nothing else happens.
