Hello Everyone,

I'm having a terrible time with my DSL service (Verizon)i have xp home edition service pack 2.i have all the latest updates (including the security)i run Spysweeper,Microsoft antispyware beta,Norton internet security & anti-virus.i have the westell versalink 327w modem, realtek RTL8139 Nic.the problem i have is this, after i restart my sytem the programs load then i get the network icon flashing in the tray saying its Aquiring network address. The 1394 connection is connected but my local area connection is trying to aquire an address.if i click on properties go to internet protocol TCP/IP it has all Zero's.i called verizon and the said its a windows problem.the only way for me to get on the internet again is to restore my system to a date in May,or format and reload windows. then i get about a week before the problem starts again....Any help would be greatly appreciated, Thanks Sonny :tazz:
