Hello,
I have been trying to install Flash in Firefox for quite some time. It shuts down in the middle of installation and makes the
setup file dissapear from its location immediately after failing. I tried a plugin install...a manual one...safe mode etc..Nothing works.
Any suggestions?

Hi kuma 781,

I'd try the Flash Player Uninstaller: http://download.macr...lash_player.exe

Then a reinstall and see if that helps you.

Joe :)

Hi kuma781,

Lets see what this does

Clean out your temporary internet files and temp files.

Download TFC by OldTimer http://oldtimer.geekstogo.com/TFC.exe to your desktop.

Double-click TFC.exe to run it.

Note: If you are running on Vista, right-click on the file and choose Run As Administrator

TFC will close all programs when run, so make sure you have saved all your work before you begin.

* Click the Start button to begin the cleaning process.
* Depending on how often you clean temp files, execution time should be anywhere from a few seconds to a minute or two.
* Please let TFC run uninterrupted until it is finished.

Once TFC is finished it should restart your computer. If it does not, please manually restart the computer yourself to ensure a complete cleaning.

Then see if it will install.

Thanks
joe

Hi kuma781,

Wow!! That worked in a Flash :)

It's possible you were getting a bad downloaded file, from the adobe site, or wherever you were getting it from.

I'm glad it's working for you.

Thanks
Joe :)

I was going to "toss in the towel."

But I had read something a tad bit earlier.

As you, the term "tossing in the towel" does not exist in my world. I refuse to allow technology that "man" created get the best of me. There has to be a fix.
