Sorry, I forgot to type “windows features” on there before on/off. Well, my system is not infected. As far as I know. I scan my system every monday and results are negative for viruses and malware. My nieces and nephews use my pc for research and homework. They use my account and not their own. I was told that too many accounts, it slows your system. No, I don't have P2P programs. All my files are basically pictures, home movies and movies............

thank you

Ooops! My fault. Thoughts were racing when I read your last post.

Rigs, we could continue troubleshooting, diagnosing, replacing files, trying this or that though I truly think it might be best to just restore to factory condition which would cut the chase and provide a good foundation for a functioning system.

Let me know what you decide to do.

Donna :)

I was afraid of that. however, I won't be able to do anything for a few days. I have to back up lots of files. or, I might just leave it alone since no harm or has not affected my pc performance. luckily, I do know how to do a full recovery.............

thank you
