Upon checking Task Manager a few moments ago my PF Usage is running at 458 mb and notice that there is a lot of activity on MsMpEng.exe. There is a lot of chatter on Goggle about this in the various forums and tech help sites referring it to anti-virus programs and viruses, but I would rather deal with it here which is my computer help site of choice. Any info would be appreciated.

MsMpEng.exe is related to Windows Defender and a legitimate entry.

What anti-virus and firewall are you running?

I am currently using Windows Security Essentials, due to low RAM, which i will be increasing this afternoon. How do I find out which Firewall I am using?
