Gday weshum and .
We do need a little more information before giving advice. If you do not know the model and series of the Dell, (e.g. Inspiration xxxD), Please go to the link and click on "Detect My Product"

Thanks.

Heres what I've found so far:
1) It isn't a dell, it's HP.
2)It is a HP Pavilion p6500z CTO Desktop PC

Here is your support page, > http://h10025.www1.h...roduct=4242353
And specs giving upgrade path.> http://h10025.www1.h...ct=4242353#N198
Probable every part, excluding CPU and HDD, including the case are produced for HP and the like. A more up market MB would probable not fit as the mounting holes and rear outlets do not look standard to me., there may also be heat issues after installing better parts.
It only has a 250 Watt PSU, so any upgrade would need a better one, Suggest 500 Watt.
Depending on what you want the computer for. You could upgrade the CPU to the max from the Spec page, install a discrete GPU, upgrade the PSU. That is all I would do.
Otherwise I would advice, Build a new computer tailored to your needs.
