have just spoke to Wex where i brought my camera from and just been told that i need a more updates version on adobe lightroom or elements which will have the software to read the Raw conversion files...

many thanks for all your help..

I have to agree, there's nothing odd in the 8.1 Update although there's quite a few complains about updates and drivers.
