Internet explore crashes after loading homepage

On my Surface Pro 2 every time I open IE 11 the homepage opens regularly. However, when I type yahoo.com, google.com, or any other website it just freezes. When I open task manager it shows that IE is not responding and I have to end the program. Everything else on the Surface runs fine and smooth. I tried restarting the machine several times but nothing, as soon as it boots back up and i try to run IE it crashes after trying to load a second page. Plus this unit is only a week old.
