remotes turning on

I have 3 remotes that turn on 3 different lights IE They are all the same and use the same remote. The problem is they turn on by themselves sometimes only one and not always the same one. I have removed the batteries, which check good, from the remotes and unplugged the lights with the same result the one still plugged in will light by itself. No new remotes have been added for other items. This really has me stumped. Checked AVS Forums and nothing any help would be appreciated.
