Brian Fitzpatri..: [12:54:09 PM] 15:44 guest_43 The other day I uninstalled something called Internet explorer smiley pack. I uninstalled it and then I could get into my system restore. So I called Microsoft and they said I need to do a system repair. I did a system repair, I believe correctly but now when I log on, and asks me if I want to activate windows and I click yes and then I only get my desktop, no icons, no start menu, no taskbar, nothing. Someone please help

Can you try doing a system recovery? Do you have a recovery partition or disks came with the computer? Maybe also try posting this in maleware removal just in case no virus or maleware present on computer.
