I posted this sometime back, but never got a reply as far as I can see. I was given a pc with Windows 98 O.S. But it seems that the system doesnt recognize a flash drive when i put it in an input socket. Is there a way to physically see if it is indeed connected. Any other method of checking it would be appreciated.

Hi,

Windows 98 is a very old OS and to use an USB fash drive the system will need specific drivers for that particular flash drive and OS.
Most flash drivers manufactures will not provide drives as they start producing them for use only on Windows 2000 and higher because those Operating System already include the needed mass storage drivers.
