I have downloaded avhcdcoder but cant get it to operate so I wish to remove it and try another program. It wont uninstall through its own uninstaller or windows and when I want to download a new media convertor it comes up with error. I dont know wether one of the p2p movie files I downloaded or this program has caused the problem. I downloaded a few items around the same time I noticed the problems occuring.

Hello smac74fishing

Try Revo Uninstaller (free) which is available from here

If you are still unable to resolve the issue you may need to create a topic on the malware forums, this based on the following from your OP;

I dont know wether one of the p2p movie files I downloaded or this program has caused the problem. I downloaded a few items around the same time I noticed the problems occuring.

If the cause of this is P2P related it may be as a result of malware infection and only the experts on those forums are qualified/permitted with it`s removal.

As per the GTG TOU

q. We will not support or allow the discussion of any peer to peer (P2P) applications, except for their removal.

Thanks for the update smac74fishing :thumbsup:

To help move things along can I ask that you refer to the GTG malware redirection information below;

I suspect that you have some malware on your computer causing issues that we are not able to solve through means we can use here in the Tech Forums. I suggest you read the 'Start Here' topic found here. With these self-help tools you have a high chance of fixing the problems on your own. If you are still having problems after following Step 3 of the guide, continue with Step 4 and 5 and post in the Malware Forum. If you are unable to run any programs, Please create a topic stating what you have tried so far and that you are unable to run any programs. Also, Please do NOT post the logs in this thread.

If you are still having issues after the malware expert gives you a clean bill of health, Please return to THIS thread and we will pursue other options to help you solve your current problem(s).

Good luck.
