I have a Dell M6800 currently docked to a E-Port Plus Port Replicator with USB 3.0 from Dell. The pc has a new instalation of Windows, 12gb ram,i7,and ssd. I reinstall because windows kept freezing and the pc was slow just slow overall. The lapgop is still a little slugish and when I open Navisworks the fans start reving up. Does anyone have any suggestions on keeping the laptop cool while connected to the docking station?

Hello willmon2000

Unrestricted cool clean airflow will help so consider purchasing a notebook cooler like the example Here keep the area around the notebook clear of obstructions and the room well ventilated.

3D work as you will be aware is graphic intensive so you are right to want to keep the graphics solution and CPU as cool as possible
