This is the message on the blue screen: A problem has been detected and window has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer.
A clock interrupt was not received on a secondary processor within the allocated time interval.

If this is not the first time you've seen this stop error scree, restart your computer. If this screen appears again, follow these steps. Check to make sure any new hardware or software is properly installed. If this is a new installation, ask your hardware of software manufacturer for any updates you may need.

If problems continue, disable or remove any new installed hardware of software. Disable BIOS memory options such as caching or shadowing. If you need to use safe mode to remove or disable components, restart your computer, press F 8 to select advanced startup options and then select safe mode.

Collection date for crash dump

initializing disk for crash dump.

Now this appeared as I was trying to make a card: Display Driver has stopped and recovered.

I so hope this is all taken care of for I am at a loss here. One needs to take their word on what is wrong. I just want this computer to work the way it should being brand new. Thank you so much.

Hi Sharon this doesn't give me the info I need so I'm going to ask that you do the following for me please.

Download BlueScreenView
No installation required.
Double click on BlueScreenView.exe file to run the program.
When scanning is done, go Edit>Select All.
Go File>Save Selected Items, and save the report as BSOD.txt.
Open BSOD.txt in Notepad, copy all content, and paste it into your next reply.

Thanks to Broni for the instructions and program

All right I shall try to do just that. You do realize this is a new Windows for me and I am not all that up on yet. But, I shall do my best.

Not a problem and don't be afraid to ask if the instructions are not clear enough for you.

This was the last thing I got from you here.

All right I shall try to do just that. You do realize this is a new Windows for me and I am not all that up on yet. But, I shall do my best.

All right, I guess I did it wrong. I shall try again. And here I thought it went so well.

Please let me know if you get this. It shows up here but when I try to find it, it is gone. Maybe I will have to post again. Thank you for letting me know.

I don't know why. I copy and paste and it goes on here. You know, I am not so sure I am going to keep this computer. Now it is doing something else. The computer is on but the monitor says no connection. I called the shop for I have this one thing on my machine that I have no idea what it is and who put it on here. It is called GE Force Experience. I want you to see what I am trying to paste I will try to get it to you again. I am so disappointed in this computer. I am so disappointed with the man who built it for it does not seem that he is that interested in what is going on with the computer. It is still under warranty so I may just load it up and take it back. I can't get my money back but I can get a different computer. Heads I lose, tails I lose. I am going to try to send that to you again. Sorry about going on and on.

The Geforce Experience is part of the video card and is probably just a program to allow you to see the potential of the video card. If no connection to the monitor I would suspect the video again. Do you know if the video is built on the motherboard or is it a add on card?

I really don't know. Could a mouse cause all this trouble? Maybe I need a new one.

Welcome to WhoCrashed (HOME EDITION) v 5.00
This program checks for drivers which have been crashing your computer. If your computer has displayed a blue screen of death, suddenly rebooted or shut down then this program will help you find the root cause and possibly a solution.

Whenever a computer suddenly reboots without displaying any notice or blue screen of death, the first thing that is often thought about is a hardware failure. In reality, on Windows most crashes are caused by malfunctioning device drivers and kernel modules. In case of a kernel error, many computers do not show a blue screen unless they are configured for this. Instead these systems suddenly reboot without any notice.

This program will analyze your crash dumps with the single click of a button. It will tell you what drivers are likely to be responsible for crashing your computer. It will report a conclusion which offers suggestions on how to proceed in any situation while the analysis report will display internet links which will help you further troubleshoot any detected problems.

Crash Dump Analysis
Crash dump directory: C:\Windows\Minidump

Crash dumps are enabled on your computer.

No valid crash dumps have been found on your computer
Conclusion
Crash dumps are enabled but no valid crash dumps have been found. It may be that there are problems which prevent crash dumps from being written out. Check out the following article for possible causes: If crash dumps are not written out.

In case your computer does experience sudden reboots it is likely these are caused by malfunctioning hardware, power failure or a thermal issue. To troubleshoot a thermal issue, check the temperature using your BIOS setup program, check for dust in CPU and motherboard fans and if your computer is portable make sure it's located on a hard surface. Otherwise it's suggested you contact the support department of the manufacturer of your system or test your system with a memory test utility for further investigation.

Check out the following articles for more information: Troubleshooting sudden resets and shut downs.

Read the topic general suggestions for troubleshooting system crashes for more information.

Note that it's not always possible to state with certainty whether a reported driver is actually responsible for crashing your system or that the root cause is in another module. Nonetheless it's suggested you look for updates for the products that these drivers belong to and regularly visit Windows update or enable automatic updates for Windows. In case a piece of malfunctioning hardware is causing trouble, a search with Google on the bug check errors together with the model name and brand of your computer may help you investigate this further.
