Okay, let's try removing the remaining Avast and AVG and see if that helps. If not, we'll try a registry backup.

Run this fixlist with FRST as before and post the resulting fixlog.txt.

See if it boots now.

Ok. This fix should restore the registry from Nov. 9. Run it in the same way as before. Let me know if it boots after this.

Okay, here is one more fixlist to try. Some of the malicious entries came back with the registry backup. While you try this, I am going to ask for some advice from my colleagues.

Ok, this fix has been recommended by a colleague. Try it and let me know.

Thanks for sticking with me. I'm sorry this is taking so long to resolve, but this one is being stubborn. Hopefully, we'll get it in the end.

Thank you for taking the time to help me. I attache the fix log and a new scan. Its still loading the windows logo then going to a black screen with the mouse, I can move the mouse so its not completely frozen. I also ran safe mode and its still freezeing on \windows\system32\DRIVERS\CLASSPNP.SYS

That looks okay.

Can you try a startup repair now that we have removed the malware entries.

Just start the Recovery Console as if to run FRST, but choose "Startup Repair" instead. Let me know if that works.

No need for another FRST scan.

Ok, we'll keep plodding along.

You said you ran chkdsk. Did it complete? Did it show any errors or bad clusters?

Can you please try tapping F8 at boot (like you were entering Safe Mode), but choose Last Known Good Configuration.

Can you go into you BIOS and look for the Hard Drive Configuration.

It will probably say IDE, ATA, or AHCI. If it is IDE or ATA switch it to AHCI. If it is AHCI, switch it to IDE or ATA. See if that works.

If not, do you have a dedicated video card (as opposed to motherboard video)?
