Unidentified network?
I'm trying to connect the desktop PC in my bedroom by connecting it directly through ethernet into the cable modem, but I am not getting a connection. The cable modem is connected to the main wireless router through coax which is directly connected to the main PC where the internet is working perfectly and also the WiFi.

Additional Details:
I have connected it to the router itself and it does work, so it isn't an issue with the ethernet port or cable.

Hi and welcome,

You probably would need to configure a static IP address for it to work directly to the modem... but I would recommend just going through the router anyway.

Cheers
