Using a Dell Vostro running Windows XP SP3. Boots as normal but wireless network graphic is white with a Red Cross against it. Message said that No supported wireless adaptor was available. The clock display had changed from its previous format. The power graphic is telling me that it's running on AC power all the time, even though it isn't. When I look at Device Manager the page is blank. Can connect to web using Cable. Anybody got any ideas?

Did this just happen? If so, use System Restore to go back to a date/time before it started happening.

Click Start, All Programs, Accessories, System Tools, System Restore.

Thanks for the suggestion, the problem appears to have been caused by Malware finding its way on to the system. It disabled all the hardware devices, these have now been re-activated and all appears to be working ok.
