Yahoo Messenger Video Call issues. It connects and works fine, then it

This issue has been more recent, and Yahoo is of no help at all.

I use the video call in yahoo chat. The person that i use it with has the SAME exact set up as i do. We both run the same version of Yahoo IM (11.5), both using windows 7, both have configured our video and voice settings.

We will finish a call and everything will be fine. Come back two hours later and one of us (it will vary) the video option will be grayed out with the message "________ is not configured for video calls". Yet we just used it.

Sometimes it takes 20-30 minutes and then all of the sudden the option will appear. Sometimes it simply does not appear. We are even in the same places when we make the calls so basically nothing has changed.

Very confusing and very frustrating. Yahoo's answer is that we are each using a different version of IM. Not the case.

Any help would be appreciated.

I have the same problem. There is only one solution. Use Skype, this is what i do.
