I spent quite a few years learning about computers, aside from just the joy of it I also felt that it might help me get a good job... Now that I work in IT I shake my head a little when I realized that it takes less than 3 minutes to learn just about everything I needed to know about how to do my job. And here's the secret.

It was meant to be a joke. I work in IT, but most of my tickets end up being fixed by rebooting the computer.
