My computer after I did a full system recovery will not access the internet although it shows it's connected. I've tried several things, also the keyboard will only work properly if num lock is not engaged; otherwise it shows numbers when you type letters on the right hand side of the keyboard.

Do you have your own Router or is the wireless connection provided by your ISP's modem?

I am still not able to connect to the internet.

Try this.

In the URL area, enter http://74.125.228.96 and press Enter. That should take you to Google. If it works then we definitely have a DNS problem or a ISP modem security problem.

Edit: Actually, you can just click on the above and it should take you to Google.

It says internet explorer can not display the website. If it helps I tried changing the home page to google a couple times the other day but every time I open IE it changes back to a Microsoft address. http://go.microsoft..../?LinkId=76277.

Also, I'm running a laptop, a desktop, a Mac, a TV, 2 PlayStations, 3 phones, an iPad, and a Surface on this same network and have no issues with them connecting. I also tried connecting it directly to the modem originally via a Cat5 and it had the same issue.
