Hello, my name is Chris and I can't seem to get rid of whatever it is that has attacked my laptop. I have tried to perform everything in the before you post section to no avail. I ran cleanup, Ad-Aware, CWShredder, installed and ran Ewiddo(?), tried an online scan, and tried stop-zilla(some option I clicked in one of these programms made it so I couldn't perform the online scan). I have run out of steam and ideas for this and hope that someone here can help. Everytime I run one of the programms, it says it deletes whatever it finds, but I rescan, and it finds them all over again. I have also tried manually closing down some of the processes that are found within task manager, but they just start back up. It is almost like there is some hidden program running in the background that won't let me clean up the the problem. I ran hijackthis and even deleted the host file like it said to do, but it just keeps getting recreated with a bunch of diffenerent Google domains being listed. Here is the file.

Doubleclick the file and confirm you want to merge it with the registry.

*Click Here to download Killbox by Option^Explicit.
*Extract the program to your desktop and double-click on its folder, then double-click on Killbox.exe to start the program.
*In the killbox program, select the Delete on Reboot option.

Reboot into safe mode and delete:
C:\Program Files\sf <= entire folder

Then (still in safe mode) use the Disk Cleanup Utility to empty all your Temp folders.

Then reboot and download the Hoster from HERE Press "Restore Original Hosts" and press "OK". Exit Program.

Post a new log when you are done.

While your computer is restarting, tap the F8 key continually until a menu appears. Use your up arrow key to highlight Safe Mode, then hit enter.

Make a HijackThis log in safe mode and boot normally.
Then make another HijackThis log and post both of them please.

I think your computer is running a rootkit and it could be in use as a spambox or as another bot.

also should mention that after using killbox and restarting into safe mode...computer seemed to freeze. I let it go for about 15 minutes but it didn't do anything else, so I had to hard boot the computer. I don't know for sure if killbox did what it needed to do

Boot into Safe Mode by rebooting your computer and tapping f8 during the boot process. Select Safe Mode when it prompts you.
Unzip the file, and run LQFix.bat
Next, Open up My Computer and delete the following files:

Copy the part in bold below into notepad and save it as mybother.reg
Set filetype to "All files"

Reboot into safe mode and doubleclick that file. Confirm you want to merge it with the registry.

Then delete: C:\WINDOWS\System32\uzuzzu.exe

Boot back to normal.

Click Start > Run > copy&paste regedit /e c:\gonetothedogs.txt "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\CLSID\{72756192-a05d-4ac6-a4d4-9146c260c568}" >OK

This will create the file c:\gonetothedogs.txt
Post the content of that file.
